Entries are now open for Corsica Raid Aventure 2015 in the most beautiful island in the world and there are already 15 teams on the starting line.
The 300km race is scheduled to start on June 5thand will be a race from North to South for this new edition.
Corsica is a fantastic country to race in, all outdoor sports is possible : canyoning, mountaineering, snow sections, sea kayaking, mountain biking.....
Our determination is to build each year a race where the word multi-activity has its meaning. Corsica Raid is indeed one of the few races in the world where you can enjoy about ten different adventure sports disciplines.
On the Corsica Raid, adventure is without moderation. A Canyoning section is a real canyon with jumps, real rappelling, never small slides and a piece of ropes to cross a river. A mountain trail approaches of mountaineering, with fixed ropes climbing on top of the snowy summit. An orienteering section is not a CO on a grassy plateau. VTT offers a test of the
diversity of the discipline and is not a 50% carry bicycles.
By Stage or Non-Stop, the Corsica Raid Aventure is built so that these three different types of teams can, depending on their level, participate to the race.
Two teams compositions available:
CRA 4+1 : CORSICA RAID AVENTURE of 4 + ASSISTANT
The team is composed of five people: 4 racers (male / female or mixed) and one assistant with the team vehicle.
The team makes the entire race with 4 racers, without the possibility of rotation. This is the Corsica Raid ADVENTURE in capital letter, formatted on the format of most major international races.
CRA 2+1 : CORSICA RAID AVENTURE of 2 + ASSISTANT or ASSISTANT RACER
The team is composed of three people: 2 racers (male / female or mixed) and one assistant or one assistant racer with the team vehicle.
This version is formatted to be easily accessible, both in sporting terms (through rotation 2 +1) and in terms of logistics since it is necessary to equip and transport only 3 people.
Version CRA 2 + assistant-raider: the team is made up of three people. But on the race, only 2 will battle constantly. You will be able, on each assistance point, to replace one of the team members without penalty. So each participant plays the role of the assistant when he is not on the race.
