24hr Racing Has Strange New Category
Press Release / 10.02.2015

Self Propelled Enterprises and Storm Bay Promotions conspired overnight to create the world’s first multi-state 24hr race category. What the hell is that? It’s a race category where riders in Tasmania (at the MTN Trails Hillbilly 24) can be on the same team as riders in the ACT (at the Mont 24) riding separate race course for glory and prizes on the same weekend (Both events are held on the weekend of March 28-29).
Each rider’s lap times will count at both events (though a Kellevie lap is half as long, so Hillbilly’s will ride 2 laps for every Mont lap completed). Hailed as the perfect category for displaced peoples, gator wrestlers, lads and lasses who have no mates and families with bad relations (Hell, you don’t even have to see each other).
NOTE: There are only 3 team places available for teams of 4 riders only.
You pay your normal per person entry fee depending on which event you are entering.
Pro tip from Race Directors if you submit a corporate team you get exposure in two states for half the price.
Are you up for it? Do you know someone across the Strait who you’d like to team up with? If you don’t, we might — so get in touch. To race as part of this unethical social experiment and for entry instructions into the contact:
To race in Tasmania get in touch with Team Hillbilly — duncan@hellfirecup.com
To race in Canberra Shoot the Mont team your interest — alan@selfpropelled.com.au
