Ironman 70.3 Staffordshire

Featuring chef Gordon Ramsay and world triathlon champion Javier Gomez, this inaugural event will take athletes on a flat and fast course through the scenic Staffordshire countryside, before returning to the home of Lord Lichfield, Shugborough Country Estate, for the finish. With a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13.1 mile run this prestigious Ironman 70.3 World Championship qualifying event will provide fierce competition and a significant challenge for more than 2000 competitors.

Raising money for the Gordon Ramsay foundation, the celebrity chef takes part along side wife Tana, footballer Danny Mills and presenter Charlie Webster, while competition for Gomez in the men’s pro race will be led by British Olympian Will Clarke. The women’s pro event is no less competitive with former pro cyclist Emma Pooley taking on multiple Ironman champion Lucy Gossage.­
