V Compressport Trail menorca Cami De Cavalls Cdc 2016

­The V Compressport Trail Menorca Cami de Cavalls is off again with the dates of 20th, 21st, and 22nd of May 2016 on sight. But now our focus is on all the previous preparations and to make the bib numbers available to all of those who wish to  enjoy the amazing landscape of Menorca, announcing the opening of the registration period  expecting to exceed one thousand runners between the five races.

The event was invited to take part at the WorldTravelMarket in London thanks to the support of the Turisme Menorca Foundation and presented the race to the media with the presence of the scot Casey Morgan  who provided his views and experience on winning the 2015 Compressport Trail Menorca Costa Nord and on the island in general.

The organization have new positive developements to this 2016 edition as important improvements in order to keep the event growing and adding value to the participants experience. As per last year there will be a total of 6.000 € cash prize for the top three ( both male and female ) athletes in finishing  the main race TMCdC 185 kms. We are introducing a 1000€  bonus for the first male and female to break the under 20 and under 24 hour barrier respectively.

Both race direction and races start schedules from the North events will change. All the Compressport Trail Menorca races will finish in Ciutadella in the Platja Gran area. The Compressport Trail Menorca Costa Nord (TMCN) 100 kms, will start at the Fortalesa de la Mola at 01.00 on the 21st of May and the Trekking Costa Nord (TCN) 37 kms, will have its own start same day at 10.00h in El Pilar area.

As per last edition, the TMCdC will have two separate starting times, where participants will be able to choose what suits them best, being the first start on the 20th of May 2016 at 09.00 for those runners with a greater time demand avoiding the weariness of a second night. And the big start will be at 14.00h same day 20th of May where it is expected to see some international elite athletes competing to complete the 185km trail around the island of Menorca.
