Teams are already feeling the exitement of the next the hARz adventure race in Northern Germany. This week the racecourse planning was presented and it at least will be a race with plenty of variety. The next edition will be the 6th edition of this race which is popular amongst expedition racers as well as rookies.
The 32 hours race starts on Saturday April 23rd at 04.00 hours in the morning, making it as challenging as a full 2 day race. But besides a 2 and 4 person team category the hARz welcomes 2-person CHALLENGER teams which have a obligatory rest during 4-6 hours. These teams will rest in a warm and dry sports location.
The race, which is a Dutch organization with good ties with the local authorities, is an excellent race for teams to prepare their next challenge in de months following. For that case the timing is perfect in April. The racebase and start location will be announced this month.
The crew hasn't made it easy on themselves: 7 transition area´s, two times bicycle transport, 12 stages, 4 sports-disciplines and a variety of maps are the ingrediënts for what race director and his crew of volunteers have planned for this next edition. Check the racecourse planning. Teams will receive 3x A1 size 1:25.000 maps, with integrated aerial and orienteering maps.
