The London Marathon … By Canoe

Like many other competitors they will be raising cash for charity, and the way they’ve chosen to do this is to run inside a special 2 person kayak that doubles as a huge cash collecting vessel. They are challenging the crowd along the way to throw as much cash into the boat as they can making it progressively heavier as we move around the course.
Their challenge is to get as much cash across the finish line as they are physically able. The charity ‘Children in Crisis’ are the benefactors and the target the pair have set themselves is to raise £2500.
To help achieve that they are hoping to get the boat ‘well stocked up’ before the start and appealing for support. If you’d like to support them you can either help by being there on the day to throw in your piggy bank, or alternatively, a much more civilized way is to visit http://www.justgiving.com/endurancelife.
From this site donations are sent direct to Children in Crisis and if you are a UK taxpayer, Just Giving will add an automatic 28% bonus to your donation at no cost to you, making it worth even more. Gary and Barry have set themselves a tough challenge and they’ll appreciate your support.
If you watch the T.V. coverage keep an eye out for them … you can see the interview with Bob Wilson coming up already can’t you ….
