Stellenbosch (Western Cape) – Celebrating its 5th anniversary on Saturday, 25 November 2017 and Sunday, 26 November 2017 the organizers of the Origin Of Trails are excited to welcome BUCO as the title sponsor of Stellenbosch's mountain bike party of the year, the BUCO Origin Of Trails.

At the beginning of 2017 Steinbuild announced the transformation of Pennypinchers into the BUCO brand, merging the two strong building materials brands to form the bigger BUCO.
 
"Becoming bigger means better deals and allowing businesses to grow with the BUCO brand," says Michael Ho, Steinbuild Brand Manager.  "In this same manner, we are excited to continue our support of the Origin Of Trails, now the BUCO Origin Of Trails.  We aim to 'build together' with our surrounding communities. The main benefactor of the BUCO Origin of Trails is the Stellenbosch Trail Fund which is committed to further developing the trails in Stellenbosch and sealing the town's reputation as a global mountain biking destination.  The 2016 event was such a great success.  We only received positive feedback, while the vibe and support from riders and spectators was amazing.  We look forward to building on this relationship and are excited to invite all sporting enthusiasts, elite and social, to enjoy the sport of mountain biking in a social setting with family and friends."
 
EVENT INFORMATION:
The BUCO Origin Of Trails highlights the beauty and splendor of the City Of Oaks.  An individual two day stage mountain bike race, mountain bikers can look forward to experiencing a vast network of world class trails.  Entrants will be granted the "once a year" opportunity to experience a spectacular combination of single-tracks in the pristine setting of the majestic Stellenbosch Winelands.
 
STAGE ONE: Saturday, 25 November 2017
Distance: +-55km or +-28km
Start Time: 07:00 in seeded batch starts, starting with +- 55km race
 
STAGE TWO: Sunday, 26 November 2017
Distance: +-58km or +-29km
Start Time: 07:00 in seeded batch starts, starting with +- 58km race

ENTRY FEES:
Option 1:  Long (+-55km and +-58km) R1050.00
Option 2:  Medium (+-55km and +-29km) R950.00
Option 3:  Short (+-28km and +-29km) R850.00
 
The first 1200 entrants will receive an Under Armour Garment.
