Popular ACE racer passes away

ACE Races organiser Phil Humphreys has announced the sad news of the death of Richard Collison.
â€Many of you will remember Richard as a familiar & friendly face at ACE Races. He competed in 12 events over the last 4 years and was the series winner in the male pairs last year with partner Dave Fryer. Richard\'s wife Linda together with Cherry Fryer, were series winners in the female pairs. Richard\'s son, Kim, is also a regular competitor.â€
â€Following a trip to Peru in January this year, Richard returned with angina and was forced to give up adventure racing. However, his death at 47 years of age has been a shock to everyone.â€
â€We will be having a collection for his family at the event this weekend in Kielder and any messages of condolence can be emailed to me at phil@aceraces.com.â€
