Gerard Fusil Launches Bike/Run Race in Oman

‘Oman Adventure’ is dedicated to the two most widespread outdoor sports in the world: running and mountain biking. Surrounded by Oman’s spectacular terrain, teams made up of two athletes, and only equipped with a mountain bike, will compete through 5 long stages of mountains, wadis, deserts and coastal plains.
Participants will race under one of three categories: all-male, all-female, and mixed teams, and although the race will attract experienced adventure athletes it is also open to newcomers. Each evening, participants will meet up at the outdoor bivouac and set off again in the morning for the next leg of the race. Each stage can lead them up and down steep heights, but they may also find they are swimming across rivers, flying Tyrolean traverses, canyoning, and orienteering.
Bike and Run is considered one of the most exciting organised events for outdoor sports. More than a physical experience, the race is a discipline that requires strategic thinking, good tactical sense, and lots of team spirit.
GFC registration fees are set at 500 euros per team. The Sindbad-Voyages travel agency also offers a team package for 2540 euros which includes: Paris-Muscat roundtrip flight, transfers from and to airports, care of team luggage during the event, luxury seaside hotel accommodations at the end of the event, taxes, visas, etc.
