Expedition Challenge Cancelled

Their aim was to hold a 10 day stage race in April 2006, crossing 4 Hawaiian islands, but unfortunately the first race has been cancelled. There is little in the way of explanation of what’s caused the cancellation, just a brief update on the race website as follows;
Dear EC teams,
It is with regret that we announce to you that the Expedition Challenge will not take place in April 2006 due to reasons beyond our control. We truly hope that this does not inconvenience you and also hope that the 7 months lead time helps with your scheduling.
I want to thank all of the teams that showed interest in this event. Teams that sent in a deposit by check will receive a check back and those that used a visa or mc will receive a credit to their card.
On another note, due to popular demand The 7th Annual Cal Eco Adventure Series will return in 2006 with a 5 race series. The website www.csmevents.com will be updated by Nov 1.
