With less than a month to go before Australia’s toughest adventure race kicks off, rumour and guesswork are the order of the day as the XPD organizers remain tight-lipped about their course.

Whilst Huon Quays in Hobart has been announced as Race HQ, and competitors know they’ll be travelling over 650 km throughout the Tasmanian Wilderness, little else is know about where and how the race will start and which parts of the state it will visit.

According to Race Director Craig Bycroft, little will change before competitors arrive at the Race Briefing on February 21st.

“Although XPD is a fantastic physical event, part of its attraction is the unknown element,” Mr Bycroft said.

“Most of the competitors that I have spoken to love the fact that they’re going to be stepping into the unknown for over a week. I guess that’s what makes XPD so much more of an experience than your average race.”
