Race the Rockies Retires

Regretfully, and with deep sadness, I have to announce the cancellation of Race the Rockies Golden 2006. The reason is simple: my career is taking me out of province, and there is no one to run the event in my absence. This was an entirely unforeseen move, and I apologize to those individuals who registered for the race. Their money will be 100% refunded.
This is the unfortunate reality of a business that depends almost entirely upon one individual (myself), albeit with the generous time and support of key volunteers like Russ Osborne, Kelly Dinsmore, Ben van Erkel and Kat Montez. They have selflessly given their time for the last 3 years to support Race the Rockies.
Canceling this event was a painful decision. I hate disappointing you, the athlete who was expecting to race. I also hate disappointing myself and those who supported this race. My only consolation is that by informing everyone as early as possible, that I\'ll enable them to make other plans this summer.
Once again, my sincerest apologies.
