Come Have Fun in Mexico

3-4 hour daytime race. NO entry fees, it's FREE. We will have a navigation class at 10 AM. Course routes will be given out after the class. The race will start at 12 noon sharp!

Race is at Santa Veronica, SE of Tecate, Mexico. It's about 1½ hours from San Diego to race start. For those coming please email me for detailed directions, insurance and ID requirements. Briefly, you need to cross at the Tecate border crossing, then take the toll road toward Mexicali, exiting at El Hongo, and going south, then southwest to Santa Veronica.

The race begins with a 15 minute Mystery section (its all about fun and teamwork). This is followed by a 40 minute Run. The run is not going to be a straight A to B run. We are going to have an Orienteering format (where you have a set time to gather as many CP's as possible). The last section is a 15K Bike.

This race is easier than Mini #1, but there is bushwhacking and some fine navigation required. It will be an all daylight event, we expect the back-markers to be off the course by 4:30 PM. We predict the winning time to be about 2½ hours.
