Canberra will be host to teams from ACT, NSW, QLD, Tasmania and VIC, all racing for $5000 CASH, with many other great prizes up for grabs!
The director of the race, Tom Landon-Smith says ‘this is the second annual AROC 24 hour race, with the competition being the most intense so-far. Teams are coming from many parts of the country to compete in Canberra for the weekend.’
Local favourites, Fugahwe (Keith Conley, Selina Stoute and Mark McDonald), who won the mixed category in last years 24 hour race are back to defend their title. With a great depth of knowledge of the Canberra region they are expected to be tough competition. Other local favourites are team Bilbys, with David Baldwin, who was in the winning 24 hour team last year, Danielle Winslow, recent competitor at the World Orienteering Championships and Adrian Keogh.
