Media Release / 31.03.2006

Organizers are offering $10,000 worth of prizing at this season-opening Salomon Adventure Challenge. On Saturday May 6, this 5-8 hour adventure race will take teams of three (all male, all female and co-ed teams) through
a 40+ km unmarked course of trekking, paddling and mountain biking, testing their endurance, navigation and team work skills.
“With the phenomenal success of the Salomon Adventure Challenge series the past few years, we are very excited to be bringing our first event of the 2006 season to Fenelon Falls,†said Geoff Langford, president of Frontier Adventure
Racing Inc (FAR Inc).
The Salomon Adventure Challenge Series was introduced in 2001 as a fun and challenging way to try adventure racing. “Teams not only have to work together to prepare for each sport,†said Langford, “but they will also be making navigation decisions along the way. This series of races was designed for those people who are looking for an introduction into adventure racing, as well as those who are looking for some training experience before entering
a longer race.â€
