X-adventure - The Raid World Cup 2005
Update - Nightfall Day One
John-Michael Flynn in Denmark South-Western Australia / 30.04.2005

An Aussie-Kiwi rivalry appears to be building at the front end of the field with the highly fancied AROC/Mountain Designs team turning it on in the bike leg, as they chase down Seagate\'s on-course lead.
Bad news though for the British Saab Salomon team, with key team member Jim Davies falling victim to a badly sprained ankle during this afternoon\'s run.
Davies bravely climbed into the saddle for the bike leg, but the Brits appear now to be off the pace.
Several French teams are working together at the pointy end of the field, with Les Arcs Quechua backing up their strong performance this morning on the bike. They\'re presently placed third (in the stage), as they head towards the finish in Denmark.
More details, placings and full race report to follow, after the riders arrive in Denmark.
