Patagonia Expedition Race
The Hardest - Ever
19.02.2006

"I've raced Primal Quest twice, and some fifty other races, but this last 50 hours trekking have been the hardest I have ever done. Ever. The forest and the peat bog was so hard. You go in this dense bush walking, willing it to end, and when you finish it, you get in the peat bog, and walk over this soft ground. It's like walking over wet sponges".
To which Race Director Stjepan Pavicic replied; "Well, in the next trekking section, you will break your own record again."
Other news is that Heather Graz from Team Mad Scientist has now pulled out of the race and left her team mates running with Nicolas Pivcevic and Pablo Fernandez, the two remaining members of Chilean team DAP ANTARTICA. So they are now an international unofficial quintet racing just to finish the Patagonia Expedition Race.
At the beginning of the seventh day the accumulated race times are as follows:
1-BUFF 74 hrs 25 min
2-ALBERTA ADVENTURE RACING 79 hrs 31 min
10-FEED THE MACHINE/IBEX 100 hrs 07 min
Unranked Timings
3-MAD SCIENTISTS 79 hrs 49 min
7-DAP ANTARTICA 88 hrs 52 min
