The Canadians Arrive

José Manuel Jiménez / 23.02.2006See All Event Posts Follow Event
Alberta Adventure Racing has made it into Punta Arenas and has finished second.

They arrived after Team Buff at 16.20 pm and are in great shape and high spirited, saying they’ve enjoyed this race like no other. “If we come back for the 1000k next year we will make it in first said Dan Wolfrom.

The city Plaza was crowded this time expecting this team. There also was some sort of demonstration of the winter festival, it looked like the Carnival of Rio (Brazil) with dancers and musicians flooding the square and took the spot light for some moments letting the recently arrived team catch there breath.

They got hit pretty badly by a snow storm up in the hills on this last trek and were walking around for days with nothing but wet cloths, but say they were still enjoying every second of the Patagonia Expedition Race!

They believe that this will be the first of many races this team does together. They didn’t know each other before coming to Patagonia, and they are now convinced that this quartet is a machine! So, we will be seeing more of Alberta Adventure Racing.
