Buff Betty is Back

The course is now set for the first race in the Buff Betty Women's Adventure Race Series, which will be the weekend of April 8-9 at Otter Creek Park, south of Louisville. We've located CPs to ensure you visit some of the nicest features in the park and, judging by this past weekend, the spring flowers should be in full bloom by race day.

There will be skills clinics (navigation, rappelling and Adventure Racing 101 - pick 2 of the 3) followed by a group picnic on Saturday. The clinics are open to the public - you don't have to be registered for the race. A $10 donation is requested to cover the cost of clinic materials and the picnic. RSVP by April 5 to ensure we have enough food.

The 6-hour race on Sunday involves trekking, navigation, paddling, rappelling, and mountain biking on Otter Creek's great singletrack trails. The ROGAINE-style finish ensures that everyone will finish the course in around 6 hours, in time to enjoy the post-race festivities, which will include prize giveaways and some great chow served up at the world-famous Ambush hash house.
