Spectacular Glasshouse Mountains as a backdrop.
The epic 100km course saw 250 competitors race solidly across a course which included 21km of trail running, 50km of mountain biking, 1.6km of swimming and 24km of kayaking split up over 9 legs.

Rob took the lead in the 4th leg of the event, the kayak up the Pumistone passage to Donnybrook. He maintained his lead from this point right to the finish line. Behind him it was a battle for second between Guy Andrews and Glenn Kirby. The two jostled for position through out the course with Guy faster on his mountain bike and Glenn quicker in the kayak. The kayaking speed for Glenn ended up tipping the balance, with Glenn finishing 8 minutes in front of Guy. Race favorite at the start of the race, Jarad Kohlar, unfortunately was sidelined part way into the race with a knee injury.
