Stage 3: Here are results from this grueling stage.

Following is a very brief report from the Stage 3 finish (well, brief compared to everything that’s happened!). I’ve had little internet access (or even electricity access) for the last 48 hours, so I am sorry that I’ve not been able to get you much details on this stage. Here are a few of the “main stories�.

17 teams of the 34 who started Stage 3 set out on the full trek following the paddling section. Most of the remainder set out on various short-course options, while a few have withdrawn due to illness.

The most notable of the DNFs are team Orionhealth Boys due to Brent being sick and vomiting, and Blasters due to Andrew getting hypothermic on the paddle and sick as well. Their partners Wayne and Simon set out together (new team BlastedHealth?) to continue doing the course, and arrived to the finish line in good time, albeit unranked.
