Stage 4: One of the best AR race stages I have ever seen!

This was one of the best race stages I have ever seen! The caving section was not only lots of fun, it truly tested teams navigational skills. I’m posting this report with only a few lines per page so I can show you more photos – but stay tuned for photo galleries of this whole race, which I will continue to be uploading over the coming week.

The day started at 6am with an orienteering challenge around the Buchans Cave Reserve, in southeastern Victoria. This took teams between one and two and a half hours to complete, then they hopped on their bikes to head out to find a cave. At the transition, they received a detailed map of the cave, which passes under the road that they had ridden in on, and were instructed to go in the southern entrance, locate the two CPS in there using the map, and then emerge from one of the three entrances on the north end.
