Now all the teams have turned up we know who they are and what they want to call themselves! So this is a revised list of one posted earlier with a bit more information.
- 1. Team Parrot-Lythgoe

- John Lowther
One of the event favourites. They have extensive adventure race and endurance event experience, including the Discovery World AR Championship finals in Switzerland 2001 and the Southern Tarverse in New Zealand. They won last year\'s Hebridean Challenge. Only John Lowther is a newcomer. He is a member of the Cairngorm Mountain Rescue team and a mountain instructor, based in nearby Aviemore.

One of the other event favourites, they contain Pete James, widely acknowledged as the UK\'s best adventure racer. They won last year\'s Adrenalin Rush race and have placed 7th in the Eco-Challenge in New Zealand last year. They also raced in the Discovery World Championship finals last year. Pasi is the newcomer to this team but is highly experienced, having competed in all the major international races and won the Raid Gauloises. He is coming over from Finland for the race. Ski Sharp is arriving from Gibraltar, where he is a member of the Armed Forces. Both Ski and Anna fly off to the Raid Gauloises in Vietnam a couple of days after finishing this race.

A new team to adventure racing, they have recruited Keith Byrne, one of the UK\'s leading racers with experience in the Eco-Challenge, Adrenalin Rush and other UK races. Keith is the marketing manager for The North Face and has raced extensively with Red Bull Northern Exposure race director, Steve Watkins. Paul and Sam are partners and split their year between their outdoor adventure activity business in the Lake District and working in the Braemar ski area. They are both strong fell runners.

One of the dark horses that may upset Parrot-Lythgoe and Go-Lite Gore-Tex. They have extensive experience from a succession of Eco-Challenges, including a 5th place in Morocco, and a host of other international races. Dave Holt has competed in the Everest Mountain Marathon. Paul McCarty raced with race director Steve Watkins in last year\'s Eco-Challenge in New Zealand. Hot tip for a podium spot.
