Mountain Designs Geoquest 48hr Adventure Race
Almost There

Sydney weather played havoc with the Kiwi contingent, Sydney was blanketed with fog this morning, Girls on Top had part of their crew fly in yesterday but 3 remaining had a small delay, before finally getting underway late morning, and word is the girls are fired up, so boys look out.
Race organisers have been looking at contingency plans and option B during the course of the day as weather in the Barrington/Gloucester region has meant more water flowing into the catchment, this had pushed the water level above 0.75m at Rocky Crossing, anyone familiar with the Gloucester Mountain Man would know at 0.7 its an exciting paddle, and the river upstream of Rocky Crossing towards The Steps would be even more so. By now we are guessing a call may have been made as a level much closer to 0.55 would have been preferred.
What we have been able to find out is that its going to be a BIG course and will no doubt not only test teams but test landcrew with a big area to cover taking in Barrington, Gloucester, Buladelah and the Great Lakes.
We will have more news tomorrow and will get news up as soon as we can.
For now check out the teams and any more news by clicking on Mountain Designs GeoQuest.
