After a hot Friday when temperatures rose up to 31°C, the night brought a real "refreshment". Rain clouds covered whole Slovenian territory and heavy rainfalls began at approximately 3am. At that time teams were somewhere between CP 11 and CP 13. The trekking section (with an abseiling somewhere in the middle) finished at CP 13 where teams received their bicycles.

Continuing towards CP 15 the night, heavy rain and occasional winds were soon influencing on performance of the teams that still had the power to continue. Some of the teams wanted to find shelter on mountain hut on the top of Crnivec (CP15/CP18) but unfortunately they had no luck. The hut didn't open till 8am. Some of the teams didn't do a circular trekking path from CP 15 to CP 18, but continued on bikes to Logarska valley where their boxes were waiting for them. Some of the teams had already dropped out of the race by this time due to exhaustion and bad weather conditions. No serious injurious were a cause of stopping the race this year.

Only team Team Anneberg (France) had to finish their race for this year at CP 5 because their navigator, Mads Ravn, needed to be transfered to a hospital in Kranj because of dehydration. He was a leading team member and giving the high pace just got him weaker, other members were not so exhausted at that time. High temperature also had a partial impact on this, but we shouldn't always blame it on the weather.

Disciplines like swimming (CP19) and caving (CP21), rollerblading (22) were cancelled due to bad weather. In Logarska valley on CP22 where the teams got their boxes with dry clothes, food and drink, the majority of competitors were cold right to their bones, so making them continue would have been a real nightmare for them. Some of the teams still wanted to go on, but race director Peter Vrckovnik along with his route planner Andrej Bracic decided that continuing on foot towards CP28 (Crna na Koroskem) across 2109 meter high mountain Peca wouldn't be a wise decision to make.
