GeoQuest 10th Birthday Bash

If you go down to the woods today you’re sure to get a surprise…particularly if you live in Nambucca, Urunga or Bellingen in NSW, because you’re quite likely to bump into some very fit-looking people running and cycling around your neighbourhood, at all times of the day and night.

Australia’s premier two-day adventure race will kick off in Nambucca Heads this weekend, with a golden line-up of the country’s best off-road multi-sport specialists promising to make the 10th edition of the Mountain Designs GeoQuest a classic contest.

As much of Australia huddles under doonas to try and beat the chill, the atmosphere is already heating up in Nambucca as teams gather on the coast to talk tactics and ready their gear. Conditions are currently fine, but a decent swell is forecast for race day, so if guesses of an opening paddle leg are correct, it could separate the rookies from the racers early on.
