Important movements have taken positions in the early hours of the second edition of Costa Rica Adventure Race 2011, Nissan Ecuador and DareDevils of Denmark Adventure Racing take advantage, while Grupo Orosi Costa Rica Sprint fall back.

Although the output of the first transition from mountain biking to rafting local Orosi took first position, which until then had Toyota Costa Rica, on the route of 74 miles, things changed and were Nissan Ecuador and DareDevils of Denmark who came at the tip to the transition 2 in the Caño del Rio Suerte.

Ecuadorians went through that point at 1:37 pm and the danes at 1:40 pm. That change was from Bicycle to Kayak, stage that has a distance of 58 kilometers and an estimated time of 8 hours, so that the expectation of the organization is that the first teams to arrive at about 10 pm to T3 Caño Blanco, where they changed back into mountain biking for a distance of 108 kms.

This stage goes to the transition 4, going on the road for four service points located at the crossroads Motor Juan River, Parismina River Bridge, Bote Arley and Puente. Teams are projected to reach the T4 in Suerre Guapiles Hotel at about 5 am.

Best national team is Grupo Orosi Costa Rica Sprint, the second is Agricenter Caribe lead by Lester Bermudez, while Toyota is third.

Until 3:30 pm on Monday, the Red Cross had served three athletes, fortunately none of them have serious injuries. The first was the female team member of Ecuador Nissan because of a scratch, also a team member of Tierra Viva and finally a member of the team Paradofobia Fortitech Brazil because of dehydration.
