ColumbiaSpot and Buff Thermocool in dispute for first place

Columbia Spot and Buff Thermocool keep the dispute for the first position of the second edition of the Costa Rica Adventure Race 2011 in the fourth day of competition.

The Spanish of Columbia Spot arrived in Columbia at 12:16 am on Thursday to transition (T8) located in Playa Bonita in Limon, at 12:35 am came Buff, the team of Spain and Finland. They came to end a stretch of 82 kilometers of mountain biking.

At this point the organization decided to eliminate the urban-oriented trekking or they would hold for 7 kilometers in the center of the city of Limon. Also recommended by the Coast Guard decided to take the test is 14 km kayak until 5 am. The reason was the strong waves in the sea and low visibility have competitors.

This gave them the option of taking a major break during the morning. At 5 am Columbia Spot go out in the proof of kayak and 5:45 am did Buff.

During the 14-kilometer test they did the PC 22 in Isla Uvita to reach the T10 Westfalia to start the journey of 32 miles Coastering. . Columbia Spot reached that point at 7:01 am and left 12 minutes later, Buff arrived at 7:40 am and left after 8 minutes.

During the 32 miles of Coastering teams go through the Boca del Rio Estrella and Punta Cahuita to reach the transition position 11 (T11) located in Puerto Vargas, and back to the Kayak for a total of 8 kilometers.

Top 6
Columbia Spot and Buff keep the top two positions in this fourth day of competition. The Grupo Orosi Costa Rica Spirit is struggling to maintain third position. They already made the transition to Playa Bonita and maintain advantage, so behind them are three teams, that continue to be very close.

They are Nissan Ecuador, and Costa Rican Agricenter Caribe and North Face

Short Course
After failing to complete or skip a section, the rest of the equipment is maintained in the sub / category. The report remains in the top teams like Paradofobia Brazil, Patagonia of Chile and Xtres Toledo of Argentina and Uruguay.

Out of the competition
So far kept out of competition the team Issy Adventure France, Ara Goals from U.S. and Daredevils of Denmark, one of the strongest teams at the start of competition.
