Adventure Race Slovenia 2012 Officially Opens

39 teams coming from 14 European countries arrived at the venue. We got to meet them at the official ceremony in Velenje, where the president of the honorary organising committee Milan Zver, declared the 10th Adventure race Slovenia opened.

Competitors and other respected guests were able to meet the team that has been making this event possible for the past ten years. There was a respected bunch of people on the stage and the audience could get an impression of how much work has to be done behind the scene. The support was shown also by the National Scout Association of Slovenia, Slovenian Armed Forces, City Municipality of Velenje and other adventure race supporters.

The presentation of the course followed the ceremony. The competitors could see a 3-D image of the entire race, here the most important bits of information and afterwards started planning their course.

After the official photo shooting, and the last team briefing, the teams started packing and loading their equipment on the trucks.

There is a short night ahead of the teams, since the alarm clock is set for 5 a.m. An hour later the busses are leaving towards the Slovenian coast which is ready to welcome thrilled adventurers with its breathtaking spots.
