Adventure Race Slovenia
A Day Spent on Karst
AR Slovenia / 22.06.2012

Piran offered everything what the competitors could wish for ... and also what they didn’t. Mysterious streets of Piran got too crowded, the kayaks offered the views of sightseeing spots of Piran, Izola and Portorož.
These sightseeing spots were also the point of orientation at underwater orientation, where the participants had to dive a few metres deep and find a checkpoint. The final “stroll” was down the beach of Portorož, which was above all boiling hot and rollerblades finally brought some wind in competitor’s hair.
The wind also greeted them on Jagodje, but a much more welcomed greeting was the bike. If only the road didn’t only go up ... in 35 degrees Celsius, endless slopes and low water supply sometimes stunning views over the karst villages are not enough. The day is extremely difficult , but the teams are keeping the good spirit and brave steps forward.
