Around 8 p.m. the first team in the Rover category, who were on the 290-kilometres long course from Friday morning, crossed the finish line in the gorge Iški vintgar. After a long trekking, which lead over the karst field Planinsko polje and over Rakitna hill, despite the late hour and cooler temperatures, the last discipline brought back some new energy, adrenalin and smiles on competitors’ faces. Hot, difficult, long, yet unforgettable ... are only a few first impressions.
While the Rovers were settling down at box, enjoying their rest and reliving the excitement of a successfully finished race, the Explorers quickly changed wet clothes and shoes, ate something at sat on bikes again. This time it is going to be all the way to the finish line.
A rather cool evening, extremely tired legs and tired eyes were making the start of biking more difficult. Definitely a challenge the teams won’t forget. During the night ride they might ride on skike as well, but in the morning they are in for big surprise ...
