Arrow 24 Hour Adventure Race Melbourne
Run and Ride till you drop!
Rosi / 18.04.2004

Icebreaker was over from New Zealand after winning a free trip for taking out the NZ 24 hour race championships (they also won last years Southern Traverse); Land Rover team of Guy Andrews and Stuart Adams made the trek from Queensland; John Jacoby (paddling and adventure racing legend) paired up with Darren Clark; Josh Street (24hour MTB champion) teamed up with James Knowler; Team Crank fresh from their big win in the Polaris MTB Challenge four weeks ago; Ramit - consisting mainly of \'the Mexicans\' who placed 2nd in last years Geoquest and Southern Traverse.
Teams were very happy to get a good nights sleep in before the race start - somewhat unusual for a longer adventure race. Traditionally race directors give out course details late in the preceding day of the race, meaning teams have to stay up late to mark out the course, arriving on the start line already sleep deprived!
