Dorney Lake, Windsor provided the ideal venue for a tough one-day test of mind, body and team spirit, and competitors battling over a variety of terrain, with Windsor Castle as a backdrop. They raced over 4 very different stages:
Stage 1: To the boats
Right from the hooter competitors were challenged with the toughest stage of the day - a mixed canoe and running stage.
Runners set out round the shores of Dorney Lake to meet the canoeists at one of two meeting points, where they had to crack mind-stretching codes for their team to progress. From here they split into canoeists and runners, with the goal of gaining all check points and as many bonus points in they could in the shortest possible time. The experienced mixed team from ‘Microsoft’ led the way with an amazing first stage, getting all the check points and bonus points available, but Baker Tilly and the eventual champions Skynet Systems were not far behind.
In the woman’s race Microsoft were showing their depth with a great first leg!
