Protective BIKE Four Peaks
Race Director Marc Schneider: “Every inch is brand new and red-hot!
Press Release / 17.11.2014

Austria's well-known four-day mountain bike stage race reinvents itself! With only one week to go to the official registration start for the 3rd Protective BIKE Four Peaks on November 25, 2014, Race Director Marc Schneider has let the cat out of the bag and finalised the 2015 routing. For the first time ever since its inaugural edition the worldwide much-noticed event will take place in Carinthia and not in Tyrol and Salzburg anymore.
After kicking off things around Bad Kleinkirchheim on June 17, 2015, the 1,000 racer field will travel via Hermagor and Nassfeld (Tröpolach) to Weissensee (June 20, 2015). In total, racers have to master 260.79 km and 8,750 metres in elevation gain.
Race Organisers however kept with the motto of 'four days of concentrated mountain bike passion in an unique scenery' while also adding some surprise effect: “Every inch of the routing is brandnew and red-hot,” says Marc Schneider who was responsible for the stage design as in previous years.
According to the Race Director the mix of epic trails in the Nock Mountains, enchanting lakes and grand massifs in the Carnic Alps results in a mountain bike package which leaves nothing to be desired. “It's definitely worth to be part of it,” adds Schneider.
The official registration opens on Tuesday, November 25, 2015, at 12 PM CET. Interested racers can secure one of the coveted entries on the online portal online-registration.de. The maximum field size is limited to 1,000 participants.
