The Cold Is Taking Its Toll - Feb 11th Report

Race Director Robert send me a note saying that Nicole had a hard day yesterday but recovered well after stuffing herself with one of the legendary monster burgers in Braeburn.
They gave her a new Spot device, which seems to be working well now. It is fun to watch her progress on http://trackleaders.com/yukonultra15
In that very moment she has completed the first 100 miles. She is currently in 8th position and in good spirits. Luckily it has become "warm": –29°C in Braeburn at the moment. See http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather/canada/yukon/braeburn
Other than the weather forecast predicted, it is still exceptionally cold.
