John Kelly Sets New Pennine Way Record (Day 2)
22.07.2020
Highlights from day 2 of John Kelly’s (John Kelly, Endurance Athlete) successful Pennine Way FKT attempt. He completed the event in an incredible 2 days 16 hrs and 40 mins, which was 34 minutes inside the previous record.
The long established record was set by fell running legend Mike Hartley and stood at 2 days 17 hours 20 minutes for the 268 mile route. That was set in 1989 and withstood all challengers until La Sportiva athlete Kelly took the record. (Others plan their own attempts this year and will now have to run 35 minutes faster!)
Summit Fever Media are producing a film on the run and to help cover production costs the film is available for pre-order here: https://summitfevermedia.com/pennine-way-fkt, with November 2020 as download date!
