The Montane Winter Spine Race 2023 enters day seven. The race enters its final phase, the dreaded cut off. Back of the pack runners now have a choice, somehow find the energy to increase their pace, or continue even further on the trail without sleep. Bodies slowly fail, minds quickly unravel.
For the mid packers, there is time to reflect on their reasons why as they slowly edge closer to Kirk Yetholm.
