La Ruta Madre AR - Into the Matacanes Canyon at

On day one at La Ruta Madre Adventure Race in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, teams began their descent of the Matacanes Canyon - with many rappels, swims, slides, caves and climbs to come over the next few hours.
The 500km race is a new ARWS Demonstration race for 2023 and the 200km distance is part of the ARWS North America Series.
