The first ever Dutch Edition of the Gigathlon
After 10 Swiss editions the Gigathlon will cross Swiss borders and take place in the Euregio (The Netherlands, Germany & Belgium). This first Euregional edition of this ultra-sport event will take place from 15th until the 17th of August.
Five sport disciplines, swimming, running, mountain biking, race biking and inline skating, will be combined into an outstanding 2 day event. Taking place out of the Netherlands and crossing borders to Germany & Belgium.
As a participant you will be conquering a distance of 230km and 3.150hm a day. Added up the participants will cover a distance of almost 500km and over 6.300 metres in heights.
You will be amongst others swimming in German lakes, crossing beautiful and demanding single trails in the Eifel and the Dutch Hills on your mountain bike, inlineskating on the Nato AWACS base in Geilenkirchen and the hohe Vennweg, crossing the Euregional hills on your race bike, running through woods on trails in the Limburgse Hills and before finishing on the longest stairway in Europe crossing a snowfield in Snowworld.
