Fuego y Agua events are considered some of the most gruelling foot races on the planet. Their Off-trail races are best described as "God's own obstacle course", with athletes leaping, crawling, climbing, swimming, and of course running through some of the world's toughest natural environments.

Fuego y Agua's signature Survival Run takes that extreme experience one step further, producing the ultimate hybrid event where the world's best obstacle racers, sky runners, adventure racers, trail runners, survivalists and military personnel go head to head in a battle of mental, physical and emotional endurance.

In true Fuego y Agua style, Australia's first Survival Run event will take place inside a 20 million year old shield volcano situated in the NSW/ QLD Border Ranges. This is the same area where the Australian Army has trained it's Infantry and Special Forces Soldiers for Jungle Warfare since World War 2.

The number of Survival Run participants is currently limited to just 75. The current field includes winners of such formidable international events as Death Race™ (Summer, Winter & Mexico) and The Ultimate Suck™, members of UA Team Australia, as well as the two-time winner of Survival Run - Hunter Gatherer (Texas).

Rounding out the field are an impressive mix of Special Forces/ Special Operations Soldiers and internationally ranked Ultra-marathon Runners, as well as some of the most recognisable names in Australian OCR and Adventure Racing. To view current participant profiles click HERE.

Survival Run is the first Australian OCR-related event to attract a truly international field, and is a unique opportunity for you to test yourself not only against some of the best athletes in the world, but against Mother Nature herself.

Participation in this event is by application only.
