A challenging mountain biking marathon event across the three counties of Derbyshire, Staffordshire & Cheshire with a choice of two routes: a 61km long route with 1500m ascent or a 40km shorter route with 1050m ascent. The biking terrain is predominantly high level/remote/moorland riding on a variety of tracks and trails in amongst quiet and scenic Peak District/Staffordshire Moorlands countryside – do not expect to see many other people out and about in this area in November! Riders will be required to self navigate the route using a full colour, bagged OS route map and route description provided at registration. A few “tricky” parts of the route will be arrowed to avoid any confusion – overall the ability to navigate using an OS map is important. The use of GPS devices is allowed. GPX files of the route will be made available to all entrants the week of the event.

Both routes promise some epic Peak District mountain bike riding via a mixture of designated rights of way linked together with short sections of road/lane in between.

There will be a Beat the Bonk marshalled control/feed station on each course.

SPORTident timing will be used and you will need to punch control points on your ride to register that you have completed the fixed route in full.

BMBO MEMBERSHIP - For insurance purposes you MUST be registered with the BMBO as either a Full Member or Day Rider before you enter or start this event - if you haven't registered yet please log onto their website http://www.bmbo.org.uk/membership-information/ and follow the prompts and select the appropriate level of membership that you require. It's a very quick process! NB - if you are in a team then both team members need to be registered.

FULL BMBO MEMBERS ENTRY DISCOUNT - If you are a full member and have paid your annual membership fees you qualify for a discount on your event entry (£1 per event). To make the online entry system and admin easier we will pay you back any discount in cash at event registration on production of your current BMBO membership card.
