Blindfold yourself, turn around twice and you will run right into a piece of American history during this event. The Revolutionary War, the Civil War, the Underground Railroad, the homes of Thomas Jefferson criss-cross the landscape of Virgina. Centrally-located Amherst County and the Lazy Days Winery will play host to the HMAR Series over the July 4th weekend.
Adventure racers from around the country and up and down the east coast will compete solo or in teams of 2/4 people covering up to 300 miles in 72 hours in an unsupported fashion. This part of the State contains one of the coolest trail systems, some class II/III whitewater, single track to make you smile and some of the most hospitable folks around.
