Length: 12 hours
Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
In southeastern Pennsylvania, two rivers, the Schuylkill and the Delaware, converge on the southern side of Philadelphia, the site of our 12-hour Two Rivers Adventure Race. Come out to explore the outstanding green space the city has to offer in this urban adventure race that will leave you marveling at Philly’s woods and trails, which make up one of the biggest urban parks in the country. While racers will be on pavement at times, they’ll find themselves largely on dirt, playing in the nooks and crannies along and between the city’s two rivers.
This is a perfect event for beginners who want to take on a longer race, with more challenging options for the experienced racers. Participants can expect spectacular single track and stellar foot travel, with plenty of navigation and route choice. Grab a friend or two and come out to see Philadelphia in a way you never have before!
For those not quite ready to take on a 12-hour race, we’ll also be offering a sprint event on the same day. This race will include great hiking and running options, gravel and semi-technical biking, and basic navigation. The course will be open for up to 5 hours, and all checkpoints will be optional — racers can choose to do as much or as little of the course as they choose. Everyone will be challenged to a fun and accessible course open to all ages.
Note that neither the 12-hour nor the 5-hour courses include paddling.
