The BIKE Transalp powered by Sigma is the world's premier mountain bike stage race, and the first ever for teams of two.

From its first edition in 1998 until 2013, the routing led in eight stages from Germany across the main ridge of the Alps to Italy. In 2014, the event featured seven stages for the first time in Transalp history.

In 2019, the event's 22nd edition will take place in front of the world's most stunning scenery with the route and stage towns to be revealed November 2018.
