Central-Iowa\'s premiere adventure race is back! This year racers will be able to choose from two events hosted on the same day. The short course (6-8 hours) will cover approx. 20-30 miles and feature trekking, mountain biking, paddling, zipline/rope elements, land navigation, and a variety of mystery events. The long course (12-14 hours) will feature the same disciplines, at longer distances, as well as coasteering.

Racer divisions include: 4 Person Co-Ed (Premier Division), 4 Person Open, 2 Person Co-Ed, and 2 Person Open.

Registration fees will include all race maps and materials, canoe/kayak rental, PFD\'s (short course only), paddles, race numbers, prizes/awards and post race meal for racers. Please note: The 2006 SOAR Challenge will be limited to the first 200 racers who register.

For those who are interested in volunteering, approximately 40 volunteers will be needed for the 2006 SOAR Challenge.
