The Wenger Czech Adventure Race Shrinks to 55 hours

Registrations for Wenger Czech Adventure Race have just started! The eleventh edition of the race will take place from August 21 to August 23 in a new format. The race limit has been reduced to 55 hours which should make it easier for novice teams to participate.
“We decided to use a format which makes the race even for professionals and for amateurs – all teams are to spend same time in the race“, says race director Tomas Vanek.
The new format does not bring much of a change for the top teams. These should be able to complete the full course. Slower teams will however need to skip some checkpoints to make it in time. “We want everybody to have a chance to try a two-night race and the race also starts one day later, on Thursday, so it saves you one day of vacation” says Vanek.
The race will take place in northern Moravia and Silesia. The Jeseniky mountain range is ideal for adventure racing in mountains accessible both on bikes and on foot. This is first time the Czech Adventure Race has entered this region and this location completes its tour around Czech Republic.
The disciplines remain the same – MTB, trekking, rock climbing, orienteering, in-line skates, canoes and teh unique ‚Bolscross‘ (an obstacle track in nature full of up- and downhill running, some swimming and rope activities).
“The entry fee stays moderate (450 EUR/team) to attract new faces to the race and the nature in this region is stunning. We welcome teams from any part of the world!” Concludes Vanek.
