Entries Open For The Carpathian MTB Epic

We are very happy to announce to you that we have opened the registrations for the second edition of Carpathian MTB Epic, organized by MPG Romania! All the cyclists, professionals or amateurs, now have the opportunity to book their place in the competition at www.carpathianmtb.ro. Wild. Rugged. EPIC!
Launched in 2017, Carpathian MTB Epic became quickly appreciated as one of the most spectacular races from Eastern Europe, through the beauty of landcapes, the full service package, the exceptional promotion and the quality of organization. Romania gained a well-deserved place on the map claimed by the most important international cycling competitions.
Internationally recognized professional cyclists and amateur athletes are challenged to race at Carpathian MTB Epic, which will take place between August 16-19, 2018, at Cheile Gradistei - Fundata Resort, an Olympic-level international resort, in Romania. Everyone will enjoy a top experience during the 4 stage race: over 180 km of riding and 8,100 meters of climbing in a wild and rugged land.
In 2018, Carpathian MTB Epic is included in the calendar of the International Cycling Union (UCI), category S2, offering professional athletes access to 80 UCI points, for the first time in Romania, which are relevant to the eligibility of participants in the 2020 Olympics.
Two race options are available at registration:
· 4-day EPIC includes a Prologue and 3 stages of daily competition, organized between 16th and 19th August 2018, and each will take place on a distinct route, with a distance of 60 km per stage;
· 1-day Challenge proposes a shorter route of only 40 km, specially designed to provide amateur riders the occasion to enjoy an authentic MTB experience in a top international competition.
Cyclists will benefit from a special fee during the launch period, and registrations are open exclusively online at www.carpathianmtb.ro, the page being available both in English and Romanian. All the news will be communicated on social media, the event being presented on a new page available in English: Facebook Carpathian MTB Epic.
The race is also delighted to announce that Joko Vogel, the well-known organizer and co-founder of the SWISS EPIC, has joined the Carpathian MTB Epic Organizing Committee.
