Red Bull X-Alps 2025: Application Phase Opens

The  Red Bull X-Alps is inviting athletes from around the globe to apply for its 2025 edition.

Starting July 1, applications will be accepted on redbullxalps.com until August 31, 2024, for those daring to tackle the challenge of the adventure race across the treacherous terrain of the Alps.

The 2023 edition of the race was historic, not only for the record number of athletes reaching the goal but also for the milestone achievement of the first woman to be amongst these athletes, Eli Egger, which sets a new benchmark for future competitors. The race committee hopes to see more female applications for Red Bull X-Alps 2025 to continue Eli’s path.

Any prospective athletes must be strong endurance runners, mountaineers and world-class hike and fly athletes. The world’s toughest adventure race evolves with each edition and for 2025, the race organization is seeking to make the race even more adventurous.

Race director Ferdinand Vogel states, “With the application window for the 2025 edition now open, we are eager to discover new talents who can withstand the physical and mental demands of this extraordinary race. Applicants must demonstrate exceptional endurance, paragliding skills, and the ability to make critical decisions under extreme pressure. We continue to welcome both male and female athletes, and we especially encourage more female applications.”

Interested athletes can apply on redbullxalps.com, where the application process and selection criteria are explained in detail. Following a rigorous selection process, the final line-up of participants will be announced in October 2024.
