Goldfish have 3 second memory

Goldfish had the aim to \'cruise and enjoy\' going into this race, and from all reports it appears they have been doing that. The team of Richard Barnes, Buzz Powell, Mardi Beat and John Barnes had their first experience of multi-day adventure racing last year, when they were proudly the last team to finish the 2003 Geoquest race.

They are hanging in there, bringing up the rear of the field, and apparently anjoying the journey, with little concern for the destination. Indeed they even found time to write and send a post card. Who was the lucky recipient?

They must surely be one of the front runners for the \'messages of support\' crown. The mesage boards are truly littered with well wishes, taunts, and support for goldfish. Apprently they were using them as motivation by rationing the reading of each message!

Some quirky ways they have of operating include the wearing of Dunlop Volleys for trekking in, and the use of a tandem MTB for the cycle legs, and the use of cycle shoes on a trekking leg (accidently!) They are also one of the few teams to include two female members - the other two being Adventure Hedonists and GHD Enduro.

They are currently on the longest leg - a trek of 75 km described by lead teams as \'hard\', \'arduous\', \'extremely tough going\' conditions were terrible\"

All members of the team are experienced paddlers, and would be looking forward to doing what they know and giving the feet a rest. Check news from HQ and the leaderboard for their arrival at TA6.
