The Best Catalan Teams Will Be In The Aventura X-Perience 24hrs Raid

Over the weekend of September 6th, 7th and 8th the best Catalan teams will participate in the Aventura X-Perience 24hr race to fight for the Catalan Championship in adventure racing from the Federació d’Entitats Excursionistes de Catalunya.
The race, will start and finish in Caldes de Malavella town and is hosted by the local Club Excursionista de Caldes de Malavella. It will present a course close to 200km with 5,000 meters ofuphill track, and is expected that the first team can complete the race in 24 hours.
The teams are going to start the race at Fridays midnight from the Roman Baths in Caldes dated from first century A.D., with a combination of foot running and inline skating. They must complete the beginning sections with a demanding night orienteering stage, crossing La Selva plain and arriving to the first hills in the Gavarres mountains chain. From there they are going to start a hard track in the most famous hills around the city of Girona and will be watching the first daylight arriving on the riverside forests of the Ter river.
Following the water course, the teams are going to visit vestiges of air-raid shelters and powder kegs from the Civil War to begin a river kayaking descent of the Ter river rapids.
The route will follow the river offering the teams some beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea and the chance to ride their mountain bikes through rice fields and complete a special canopying task in the Mediterranean pinewoods and an orienteering section in an Iberian city from the VI Century B.C.
The teams will face their final challenge visiting the highest peaks in the Gavarres mountains, crossing them on their mountain bikes through the via ferrata section and taking the direction to the Swamps path arriving again in Caldes de Malavella town to cross the finish line and knows who will be the winners of the Aventura X-Perience 24hr race and the new Adventure Racing Catalan Champions.
